Cantonment Board Bakloh (Cantt. Board) was established way back in 1866. Cantonment Board was established primarily to maintain discipline, sanitation and upkeep of the Cantonment Board. Not only basic facilities, but the Board itself takes care for welfare of the people residing in the Cantonment area.

Bakloh Cantt. board is graded as type IV Cantonment. According to Cantonment Board act 2006,Board is to provide Street Lights, water connections, education, Health facilities, social security, planning of area, construction facilities, proper sanitation facilities to the Cantonment. 

The Bakloh Cantt. stretches to 5666.84 acres of Bakloh. It has a population of near about 3500 people.  In its vicinity are the office of the Cantonment Board, A Hospital, two Primary schools, 1 Secondary school, and many other basic facilities.   • Constructing, altering,and maintaining bridges, markets, buildings and public places.
  • Regulating usage of Drainage works and sewerage works.
  • Planting and maintaining trees on roadsides and other public places.
  • Establishing and maintaining or assisting primary schools.
  • Maintaining and edeveloping the value of property vested in to the management of the Board.
  • According or refusing permission to erect or re -erect buildings.
  • Organizing, promoting or supporting cultural and sports activities.
  • Celebrating Independence Day, Republic Day and incurring expenditure thereon.
  • Naming and numbering the streets and premises.
