Celebrations are a way to express togetherness, happiness and unity. We the people of Bakloh believe in spreading smiles, celebrations and living life king size. Whether it is Holi, or diwali or a small festival like Vasant Panchami, each festival is celebrated with great pomp and show. We even celebrate Gurunanak Jayanti, Lohri and Christmas. The natives of Bakloh are jolly by nature. They don’t miss any chance of celebrations.

Vasant Panchami, Winters, Lohri and New Year celebrations are the ones celebrated in the month of January at Bakloh. Winter is celebrated here at Bakloh by getting the Sunshine, gossiping and planning for the whole year. Peanuts sell a lot and people enjoy winters happily.
February is the Month of Shiv ji . On this month occasionally Maha Shivratri falls. All the Shiva temples are crowded with devotees. the day after Maha-Shivratri is a big day. Bhandara is organized in almost every Shiva Temple.
More over 19th is the day of establishment of Nageshwar temple at Kaluganj. On this day a bhandara is organized by the villagers every year.
March is the celebration of Holi. Holi is celebrated here at Bakloh with full grace. No naughty things are done , but the festival is celebrated calmly and happily. The villages organize it on their own level , while the individuals who want to celebrate it individually with friends are free to do so. Some groups celebrate the festival in nearby rivulets by having picnic on that day.
April is celebrated at Bakloh as a holy Month. It is the occasion of Navratras. The association of Bakloh with Gorkha regiment is quite evident for some of the 3/4 GR personal serving any where in India come to Bakloh to have blessings of Sansari mata. It is the month in which famous Gorakh Nath Yatra is organized on 19th. On this occasion the natives of Bakloh (especially from Gorkha Community) have a 8 to 10 kilometer walk(yatra) from Gorakh nath baba temple at Kumlari back to the same temple covering all the area and main villages of Bakloh. People wait the whole year through to attend this yatra and celebrate.
May is the month when most outsiders who have their roots at Bakloh tend to visit Bakloh. It is the month when Budh Poornima mostly falls and Kul Pooja of the various families are organized.
June is the month of fair. In the local periphery of Bakloh many small fairs are organized . The village committees organize the fairs with full zeal and commitment. The Lokeshwar fair, Polani fair, Ghatasani fair are some of the man fairs of this month.
The first sunday of July is for Famous state level Chillama Fair. It is a big fair. On this day a wrestling competition is organized by the mela committee and big prize money is on stakes. Also a football tournament is arranged days before the fair such that on the penultimate day of the fair, the Final of the tournament may be organized.
The second Sunday is designated for the famous Bakloh (Bomb-dhara) fair. it is also a big fair and one can say , it is the last fair of the area. it can also be called the Bakloh fair, as it is organized at Bakloh itself.
Bakloh has many schools. August is reserved for the celebration of Independence day of India. The Bakloh market celebrates it in a very joyful way. Several competitions are organized for school students in the bazar.
All the schools of Bakloh celebrate the Independence day in their own ways. Children of various schools seem to be excited and joyful for the celebration.
Shri Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated in this month in all the temples of Bakloh. It is a festival of celebrations. Young kids get the chance to wear dresses of Shri Krishna and Radha. Kirtan of Lord krishna are sung and celebrated.
The month of October is month of Dusshera. It is a festival which is celebrated at Bakloh in a very special way. Annually Ram Leela is organized at Bakloh bazar (1/4). The festival is celebrated for 10 days by the Gorkha community residing here. The younger ones of a family visit the homes of their elders and get blessings from them. The dahi- tika is the ritual of Dusshera.
Mostly in the month of November the Hindu festival Deepawali falls. It is the festival of lights. It is the festival of Laxmi mata ji. Deepawali seems to be the most celebrated festival of Bakloh. Houses are decorated beautifully and people celebrate it for 5 days.
Specially to mention here, the Gorkha Community residing here celebrate not only by worshiping Laxmi mata, but also Cow, Dog and Crows are worshiped on different days. Vishwakarma Pooja is also done during Diwali.
December is the month of Christmas. Christmas is celebrated at St. Oswald Church. The young kids of Bakloh seem to be much excited for the celebrations. The shops are decorated and filled with Christmas trees. though most of the population at Bakloh are Hindus then also te festival is celebrated with much galore.
