KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA BAKLOH CANTT.
K V Bakloh Cantt. is one of the oldest school of Bakloh. It is the oldest established Kendriya Vidyalaya of the Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, which began functioning in the year 1982. In its first 32 years of its establishment it functioned in Army barracks as it didn’t had it’s own Building, but after 16th February, 2014 it started functioning at it’s new building. It is a school with many successful stories engulfed. Many of the students passed out from here are today gems of their society. They are working as Doctors, Engineers, Officers, Professors, Teachers, and are proving the statement, “Come to Learn, Go to serve.”

Kendriya Vidyalaya Bakloh Cantt. is one of the 1242 odd Kendriya Vidyalayas running all over India and abroad too. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is an autonomous organization, a chain of quality schools which works under the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Department of Education, Government of India. The HRD Minister of the Indian Government is the Chairman of this Sangathan. K V Bakloh Cantt., the oldest Kendriya Vidyalaya of Chamba District is a defense sector school, meaning thereby that the Brigadier of Army is designated as the Chairman of the school and the Principal of the school does all the administration under his Guardianship. Presently KV Bakloh is running 12 classes with Science stream and Commerce Stream. The school is having a total strength of more than 400 students and 22 teachers are having the responsibility to teach them. The school holds a very large area and is located in a very picturesque place of Bakloh. Its Location is fantastic and one will fall in love with its view today and always.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Bakloh embodies some of the good features of Public School with emphasis on Indian culture and values raising the cost of education.Medium of instruction in the school is bilingual. The Vidyalaya is affiliated to Central Board of School Education, New Delhi and prepares students for the All India Secondary School (Class X) Exams and All India Senior Certificate Exams (Class XII) of the Board. It is a school with very good reputation and good results in the Board Exams. The Academic Year is from 1st April to 31st March every year.
Scheme of Studies
Till Primary classes, the subjects taught are English, HIndi, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. From class 6th to 8th one additional language is taught, i.e. Sanskrit. From 9th to 10th it is optional for a child to study the third language. There are some additional vocational subjects too on offer for the students of 9th and 10th. Classes 11th and 12th are run as per the criteria put by CBSE. This year the KVS has started a new course on Artificial Intelligence as an additional subject from class 8th in all schools. it is a good news that now students of KV Bakloh will also study AI from this year.

ADMISSIONS- The admission criteria for students to be admitted in the school is very strict and uniform all through India. The admissions to 1st class are done online and for rest of the classes it is in offline mode as per vacancy.Age eligibility for the admission to various classes is as under-

The maximum age limit can be relaxed by 2 years in case of Physically Challenged child. For class XI admission , there is no age criteria, only condition is that the child is seeking admission on the year of passing his 10th, and for XII class too the same criteria, there should be no break between class XI and XII.

A Big library with numerous precious books, a well equipped Computer Lab, Science Labs with modern day equipment are the basic features of KV Bakloh. KV Bakloh provides exposure to it’s students and it is noteworthy to write here that students of Bakloh keep on participating in National Level programs run by KVS that too free of cost. The talented students of Bakloh have brought laurels to the school and helped it to make its presence felt in the national map.

The documents needed for admissions include a passport siz photo of child, Previous school’s TC/ birth certificate, Medical Certificate for blood group, Rations Card copy or any other address proof, Service certificate of the parents with last 7 transfers if the parents are government employees.
Fee Structure and Fee Submission(Online Mode)
Fees structure of KVS is very easy and only 25 Rupees is the Admission fee. Quarterly a student has to submit Rs. 1500 if admitted to class 1st. Till class 2nd , the fees remains the same and from 4th on wards an additional fee of Rs. 100 per month as Computer fees is taken. i.e. In total an annual fee of Rs. 7200.00 is charged from students studying from class 3rd to class 8th. From class 9th additional tuition fees is taken, which is based on the subjects taken by the students. It is necessary here to mention that 25% of the students from class 1 to 8th are admitted under RTE act, which enables those students admitted under the act to not to pay any fees. The limit of class strength is 40 , and can be increased only under certain criteria. The link for online payment of fees is as under.
