Physics is an integral and inevitable part of studies for all the Science students. Mastering it will definitely give edge to anyone who wants to be an IITian, or a Doctor, or an Engjneer. But there is something hat makes it frighten many of the student. Students are often found saying that all is good, but we are not able to understand Physics. And the statement becomes much stronger when they find that the same is the thinking of many of their classmates as well as competitors. A recent study by an independent survey has revealed that Physics is ranked the 6th most difficult subject to study, Architecture being the most difficult one.
The real story for studying and getting to know a subject is that if one is skeptical about it and unsure about it’s fascination,then he/she will always have difficulty in grasping it. or in easy words, if someone falls in love with a subject, then only he/she will find it easy. But it is sad to know that our education system has hyped the stature of difficulty level of Physics so high that the teacher himself/herself can’t help the students to have faith and love for subject called Physics. Start from the very beginning of the day, We begin the day by opening our eyes.What we do , we find it difficult to see through as our eyes (eye lenses) are adjusting their focus. We are served with the bed tea, it is extracting out vapors (Evaporation), We open the curtains and light rays enter . Clear your doubts..
Be opportunists while studying Physics. Don’t linger on for getting your problems solved. As soon as any problem develops, be prompt to ask it from your immediate resource, may it be your teacher or your elder or internet. It is very important to not to have any apprehensions about asking questions. Don’t worry about the level of question, if you don’t know about it, it must be one level up of your understanding. Usually, people assume that since no one else is asking questions, so everyone else understands the topic at hand but it might not be so. So speak up and let your teacher or your resource know that you are confused and that you are having difficulty coping up with the topic. Always remember that there is no harm in having doubts. It is only a sign that you are working on the problem and trying to solve it rather then sitting and wasting your precious time.
Have a set of books or resources before hand
Follow good books and resources. Don’t run for anything and everything. Don’t rely on resources which are just their to earn money, but go to those resources or books which are authentic and seem to be built for you. There is better friends than books. make a Physics book your friend for life and stick to it for references till you don’t get any problem solved from it. Getting concepts is far better than noting out all the details. Understand derivations, solve numerical by yourself, the notes of yours should contain memory maps, i.e. flow charts giving you ideas of inter-relation of topics of the chapter from one another. Don't Just Study, But research
Study Physics, not only because it is a subject, but make it a subject of your research. Explore the knowledge from the ideas given in the textbook of yours. One is studying Coulomb’s Law, then he/she doesn’t need to learn the statement, but he/she will automatically understand it when they will go through some of the numerical based on the Coulomb’s Law, Exactly the other way round. The Practical concept matters a lot. Discover the knowledge rather then grasping it by reading or memorizing it.
