Introduction

LOGO

A dream to have and own a website always was there in the back of my mind. Always wanted to have a website. But wasn’t able to as, didn’t had a business. And business needs people to be very clever, opportunist, and selfish. I can’t be such. Also God blessed me negligible time to be unemployed. In my life time, only time I have been free of doing any work was between 06th May, 2003 to 28th May, 2003. I got my final results of M.Sc. on 30th June, the same year, but was in job before that. Now I am a proud owner of our website called,”www.bakloh.com.”

How?

COVID 19 reached India with full threatening and halted the nation from March,2020 on wards. Putting the biggest impact on the education system, it made me search on to my creative side. I went through a big register which happened to be my daily diary in yester years. We were free and fine and had ample time to do something new. Searched on the web and researched about making a website. Initially thought to put all the materials on my website, but dropped the idea for personal causes. Went through Go Daddy.com. Purchased a domain name called Bakloh.com. Never thought about any other name, as I always wanted to to something for my motherland.

What?

What I did was followed some good you tube videos and made a website using hosting by Hostgator. The hostgator technicians are real gems. They helped me in understanding many a questions without doubting on my queries. My website, domain of which was purchased on 15th May, was ready with 2 or 3 posts on Bakloh by 19th May, 2020.

Learnings

  1. Owning a website, and working on the website, both are different things. I learnt this big lesson after owning it.Had to work for it a lot. The collection of data of Bakloh was the biggest challenge. Also one more challenge was the small Bakloh, a place which needs very less explanation.
  2. Being a novice in the field of website creation is a big disadvantage. Had to learn to work very cautiously and work a lot.
  3. Understood that our place Bakloh is beautiful, but is not developing for the lack of youth willing to live here. We can say that Bakloh is a place forĀ  and of pensioners.
  4. Learnt that making Baklohites explain through English language was a wrong decision. I should have picked Hindi language for the Website.
  5. Learning is doing. I have done a 6 months crash course on computers & internet through GNIIT, learnt a little, but within 2 months of working in my website, learnt many a things. Proud to have a website now.
  6. Learnt to make logo, edit pics for websites, working on SEO, etc…
  7. What I learnt, is a big ask, still learning and learning fast.

Limitations worth mentioning

For a new beginner, word press is the best. But the limitations are a lot.Limitations of having little resources. Being a full time Teacher, it’s difficult to  manage time. Also a big hurdle is to put thoughts into action in the field of internet creations. One more hurdle is, it’s difficult to extract out help from a busy world. Everyone seems to help, but nobody helps in real sense. (Exceptions are always there). For some creations one needs audience, appreciation and recognition else motivation. While making this website, needed the same. But got it only when advertised, otherwise nil batte sannata !

What's next?

A new website in near future. Being a teacher, that too in all the sections of school study, it has become an automatic passion. Either a new website will be ready or Bakloh.com will be a popular education site. What this website building has given me is a rich exposure and a positive frame of mind. Loving what I am doing. It is a great feeling to be read by people from all around the world.

Being good, always pays. Have been a believer of goodness, spread smile, you will get a lot of multiples of smiles.  Spreading happiness has given me so many friends and acquaintances, that  I have their back with me to proceed  and touch sky. Sky is the limit, and will try to touch it.
