Bakloh is a fine place, a small hill station located at the Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh. It is located at coordinates : 32.4725° N, 75.9245° E.  A historic Cantonment of Himachal Pradesh the place is primarily known for its people and its closeness to Dalhousie. The main highlights of the place is its scenic beauty. It is a photographer’s paradise. A place worth visiting if you are at Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh for some reason. It is a green place with forest area very close to the residential area. The forest area is laden with Pine trees. It is an army area from the days of its establishment and has recently been graded as an SFTS by Indian Army.

Livable and Lovable

A totally livable and lovable place, Bakloh is the station which contains the essence of truth and purity. As such, Bakloh is a small place, but has a lot of villages in its periphery. In the first instance it seems to be an old place, and is so. Being a cantonment no much advancement has been allowed by the cantonment from the ends of the natives who have lived here for long. A few houses at 1/4 bazaar, as well as 2/4 bazaar are modernized, otherwise many have the old essence.

With all the basic facilities like water and electricity, the place is an ideal hide out for all those who have completed their share of work in government, private or public offices. It is a place for all those who are content with their sweet life containing no show offs and as simple as possible.

The Photographer's Paradise

Bakloh is definitely a Photographer’s paradise. A place which can give you millions of great clicks for a certain moment or location. You don’t need to walk long distances to search for that unique photo click. Standing on the terrace of any house can give you scintillating views for a memorable click. The evenings and mornings are great times for photography. The view of  setting orange colored Sun is quite mesmerizing from Bakloh.

Morning Sun is visible through the high mountains of North east Himalayas and evening Sun is seen to be hiding behind the plains of Punjab. It is the place where you can see the clouds from upper side as if you are on a plane flying high on the sky.  A random click at this place is always a memorable click.

One of the identities of Kakira(Bakloh) , “Swami Shri Harigiri Hospital Kumlari”. The biggest hospital of the area, started giving its services from the year 1998.

Gorakh Nath Baba Temple, Gorkhas are disciples of Guru Gorakhnath Babaji. On 19th April, each year a Shobha Yatra is organised beginning from this temple and ending at the same place.

Nag Mandir located just on the right side of road in front of Guru Gorakh Nath Temple. It is the first temple visible , if you are coming to Bakloh via Chillama.

Jwala Mata Temple, Ghatasani, An old and famous monument of Bakoh area. 25th May is the date when almost the whole Bakloh visits the temple and enjoys bhandara. 

A glimpse of famous Chillama Fair, the most cherished fair of the area and neighborhood,It receives a very high number of visitors during the first  week of July every year.

LakhData temple of Chillama, is the Temple located at Chillama near helipad. The famous Chillama fair begins only after worshipping Lakhdata baba ji. 

The famous Kali Mata Temple. It is a well known place of Bakloh , and is located at the highest point of Bakloh. Many devotees from country and abroad come to visit this temple.

The elegant PWD Rest House of Kakira. Has been a short stay destination for many visitors of Bakloh.

Samrat Hall, Once called Mondloi Hall is an old identity of Bakloh. It was once a Cinema Hall.
